How this began
Sometime on Saturday 29th November 2014, I heard one of the preachers on a television program speak about Jesus at twelve (think it was John Hagee):
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man (Luke 2).
This was Jesus’ response
Some time later, I heard Jesus say to me, “I was a MAN (emphasis on MAN) at twelve.”
I was astonished and did not respond, then heard him reiterate, “At twelve I was a man.”
I really had to laugh. I then heard Archangel Michael say, “he was such a man that He had to return to Nazareth.”
Archangel Gabriel then said, “His parents were frantic. They thought they had lost the Messiah. Joseph spanked him.”
He explained that Joseph waited until they returned home to beat him since he did not want to embarrass him in front of the congregation. He said that Joseph spanked Him twice on the buttocks.
Jesus then told me that He said in His heart, “wait until I get you.”
I asked, “what did you do Jesus?”
Jesus replied, “I broke his best pen in three” (using His power). He told me that Joseph’s response was “that boy!”
I also asked Jesus where He stayed. He replied, “where do you think? In the Temple.”
As an aside, Jesus was a really good Jew – eye for an eye. LOL. This is one reason why He learnt obedience by the things He suffered.
I really had a good laugh about the day that Mary and Joseph “lost” the Messiah. Hope that you have a good laugh too, because this is the reason this was shared with me. LOL.
I couldn’t help thinking that He came to earth at the right time in history and to the right people. Do you think He would have been safe in the USA or any other nation?
Blessings, peace, Angelic prosperity and protection.
